Welcome to Sunday School at the First Congregational Church in Hanson!

All Sunday School classes meet at 11:00 AM

The First Congregational Church in Hanson offers a comprehensive, developmental, Bible-based Sunday School program for children aged three through Grade 12. Our curriculum is proven and engaging, encouraging a lifetime of Christian Education.

The Sunday School year begins in September with Rally Day, on the Sunday after Labor Day. It ends on the Sunday before Memorial Day, with Children’s Day, celebrating all that our students have learned through the year. Each Sunday, classes gather in the Sanctuary for praise and worship, before moving into their own classrooms. A free-will offering is taken in the individual classrooms to provide support for global and local missions, and to promote a spirit of giving among the children. On the first Sunday of each month, Communion Sunday, the students in grades 9 through 12 share in the entire worship service. This enables our young people to experience a well–rounded program of education, worship, and fellowship.

Should you have any questions, comments, or concerns about our Sunday School program, please contact us by email or by calling the Church Office.

"Have you noticed how much praying for revival has been going on of late - and how little revival has resulted? I believe the problem is that we have been trying to substitute praying for obeying, and it simply will not work. To pray for revival while ignoring the plain precept laid down in Scripture is to waste a lot of words and get nothing for our trouble. Prayer will become effective when we stop using it as a substitute for obedience."
