Handbell Choirs

The First Congregational Church in Hanson has always had a wonderful music ministry. In 1996, handbells were added to this ministry, and two handbell choirs were started.

Our Adult Handbell Choir meets every Monday night for rehearsal from 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. We play in church during the 9:30 a.m. worship service on the fourth Sunday of the month in October, December, February, April, and sometimes in May or June.

Our Youth Handbell Choir meets Sunday evenings for rehearsal, from 5:30 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. in the sanctuary. Anyone who is in the 6th grade and up is invited to play in this choir. We play in church during the 11:00 a.m. worship service on the fourth Sunday of the month in October, December, February, and April.

If you have an interest in playing handbells, or if you would like more information, please contact Jane Clemons, our handbell director. You do not even have to know how to read music to join our handbell choirs, and no experience is necessary.
