Celebrate World Communion Sunday on Oct 5th
Posted by: bcraig on Sep 25, 2014 - 11:20 AM
Christian Life
World Communion Sunday offers congregations a distinctive opportunity to experience Holy Communion in the context of the global community of faith. The first Sunday of October has become a time when Christians in every culture break bread and pour the cup to remember and affirm Christ as the Head of the Church. FCCH will be celebrating this important day of Communion with the rest of the world on Sunday, Oct 5th at both of our services. On that day, we remember that we are part of the whole body of believers. Christians celebrate communion in as many ways as there are congregations, but the belief and symbolism on World Communion Sunday can be both a profound worship experience and a time for learning more about our wider community of faith. Please join us on this important day of faith.

Be part of a Prayer Chain; Help those in need with your prayers
Posted by: bcraig on Feb 18, 2014 - 01:17 PM
Christian Life
Prayer Warriors needed! Our church is a praying church. One that strongly believes in the power of prayer in all aspects of our lives. To strengthen the bond with God that prayer provides, and in support of one another in need, our church welcomes you to join our Prayer Chain. When urgent needs are received by Pastor Cindy or the office, we contact a few key "chain leaders" who then email or call others on the list so that many are praying for this urgent need as it is happening. We need you and we need your prayers. Can you help? Contact the office with any questions you may have. Please help the power of prayer and God's love surround those who need it the most when they need it. Thanks.

Christian Life
He has risen! Come and celebrate Easter Sunday with your family and friends. The Ecumenical Sunrise service will be held at BR Monponsett's at 6:00am followed by an Easter Breakfast at 6:45 in our dining hall sponsored by our Youth. The Traditional Easter worship service begins at 9:00 a.m, the Contemporary Easter worship service begins at 11:00 a.m. There will be no Sunday School.

"We thank you God, for the glorious message of Easter morning. The greatest of all gifts is the eternal life which is ours through Jesus Christ our risen Lord and Savior. Lead us to the grave that is empty, into the garden of the resurrection, where we may meet our risen Lord. May we never again live as if You were dead! Amen"
(Prayer written by Rev. Dr. Michael Halcomb, Editor of the 2007 Lenten Devotional)

  "The Shadow of the Cross"
Posted by: ehartz on Apr 02, 2007 - 02:29 PM
Christian Life
The Senior Choir of our church will be presenting a beautiful Tenebre service in the sanctuary on Maundy Thursday,April 5th, entitled "The Shadow of the Cross". Many of the songs are familiar anthems, made even more beautiful and meaningful because of the narration that flows through the music. Fred Hartz will be narrating this story, told in song, of Jesus' steps to the cross. Please consider adding this service to the journey you are making to Easter Sunday. The only road to Easter morning, is in the shadow of the cross......
This communion service begins at 7:30 pm.
