Be part of a Prayer Chain; Help those in need with your prayers
Posted by: bcraig on Oct 01, 2007 - 02:12 PM
Christian Life
Prayer Warriors needed! Our church is a praying church. One that strongly believes in the power of prayer in all aspects of our lives. To strengthen the bond with God that prayer provides, and in support of one another in need, our church is looking for persons to be part of a "Prayer Chain". When urgent needs are received by Pastor Cindy or the office, our hope is to activate the chain by the office contacting a few key "chain leaders" who then call the next person in line, who call the next person in line and so on, so that many are praying for this urgent need as it is happening. We still have an informal version of this going from other "warriors" who started this years ago and felt a little reinvigorating was in order. So, we need you and we need your prayers. Can you help? Contact the office with any questions you may have. You will find a sign up sheet in the Fellowship Hall if you are interested. Once we have a list of names, we will organize the chain and distribute the "links" to everyone. Please help the power of prayer and God's love surround those who need it the most when they need it. Thanks.

"We thank you God, for the glorious message of Easter morning. The greatest of all gifts is the eternal life which is ours through Jesus Christ our risen Lord and Savior. Lead us to the grave that is empty, into the garden of the resurrection, where we may meet our risen Lord. May we never again live as if You were dead! Amen"
(Prayer written by Rev. Dr. Michael Halcomb, Editor of the 2007 Lenten Devotional)

  "The Shadow of the Cross"
Posted by: ehartz on Apr 02, 2007 - 02:29 PM
Christian Life
The Senior Choir of our church will be presenting a beautiful Tenebre service in the sanctuary on Maundy Thursday,April 5th, entitled "The Shadow of the Cross". Many of the songs are familiar anthems, made even more beautiful and meaningful because of the narration that flows through the music. Fred Hartz will be narrating this story, told in song, of Jesus' steps to the cross. Please consider adding this service to the journey you are making to Easter Sunday. The only road to Easter morning, is in the shadow of the cross......
This communion service begins at 7:30 pm.
