Because of the success of the Youth Sunday Worship Band, we are exploring the exciting possibility of forming a Youth Worship Team. This group would led some 11:00 services in the year, and could lead music in youth group or special events. We understand that most families are quite busy and have many obligations. However, to form a Youth Worship Team that is fully prepared to honor God through music, there must be commitment to this mission. If this ministry is something that you and your child agree that he or she would like to be part of, please contact Heather Jones at worshipteam@fcchanson.org.

The Youth Groups (JYF and SYF) start up at 4:00 pm, this Sunday, September 14th. JYF is open to kids in the 5th to 8th grade, and SYF is for high schoolers.
Right after Youth Groups, Mrs. Clemons will kick off the Youth Handbell Choir in the Sanctuary at 5:30 pm. Any kids interested in checking this out is welcome and encouraged. There's plenty of space.

Registration continues for this year's VBS starting on July 14th thru July 18th from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon here at the church. This is a fun event for kids each year. Registration is $10.00 for the first child, and $5.00 for each additional child in the family. Grades Pre-K to Grade 5 are welcome. Kids older than 5th grade can help CIT's and site assistants. Kara Tabor will be leading a new Youth Bible study focused on teenage girls grades 6 through 9. It starts right now through the middle of August, and meets on Wednesday nights at 7:30 pm. Our Senior Youth Fellowship is moving their meeting time from 7:00 pm to 4:00 pm each Sunday. The JYF and the SYF will meet separately and will have their own activities and discussions. Youth Handbells will still be meeting immediately following the Youth Groups at 5:30 pm. This move is meant to eliminate multiple driving trips for parents, saving time and gas!

The SYF is going to be sponsoring a youth activity day here on Saturday, December 15th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. so parents have time to complete their shopping. For a small $7.00 fee, the SYF will provide activities and a pizza dinner. Your child can stay for the whole time or any partial time needed. See the sign-up sheet in the Fellowship Hall. Join us for Vacation Bible School, a really fun way for kids entering pre-K - Grade 5 to connect with God’s teachings.

Vacation Bible School at First Congregational Church in Hanson has been an unforgettable event every summer for kids and anyone involved. This year, VBS runs from July 16th -20th, 9am-12 each day. Registration is $10 per child with a maximum of $15 per family.
