WELCOME TO THE FIRST CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH IN HANSON !
Are you looking...
...for a place to belong?
...for a place to be loved?
...for God?
Our church has a welcoming atmosphere where you can
feel at home for the first time or for a lifetime.
On Sunday mornings we offer two worship experiences:
- A Traditional Service at 9:00 a.m. which features hymns, a Biblically
based message and special music from our wonderful organist and Senior choir. This service celebrates the traditional pilgrim worship that brought us here. Nursery is available.
- Our 11:00 a.m. Worship Service is for individuals and young families
who desire a less formal atmosphere - It features a full band, lively worship, dramas and a
Biblically based message which connects with our daily lives. During the school year, all Sunday School classes attend the first 15-20 minutes of this service for cool praise and worship songs and a brief message before heading off to class.
Nursery is also available.
- Following the 9:00 a.m. service, there will be a full hour of coffee and fellowship. All are encouraged to come early or stay later to cross paths with brothers and sisters in the church family. Coffee and fellowship will also follow the 11:00 a.m. service.
This Sunday, July 6, 2008, the scripture lesson is taken from Psalm 31:1&2, 14-16. The message to be shared is entitled, "Ordinary Time". Please join us at one of these wonderful worship services.
Following each worship service we offer a great time for making new
friends in our Fellowship Hall.
Our children also have a chance to worship, make friends and learn about God:
During the school year, we offer a comprehensive, developmental, Bible-based Sunday School program for children aged three through Grade 12.
All classes meet at 11:00 AM. Nursery is available all
morning.
What you experience on Sunday morning is only a small picture of what our
church has to offer. We have activities Prayer Groups, mid-week Bible
Studies, and Family nights. We encourage you to touch on some of the ministry links on this website to
learn more about us.

As part of the NACCC Annual Meeting in Plymouth upcoming June 21 - 25, all the area churches are coming together for a Unified Service on Sunday morning, June 22nd, starting at 10:00am. We will have buses leaving our church parking lot at 8:30am to transport us down there. What a special opportunity to Worship with other Congregationalists from this area and around the country on this special morning. The service is just one part of a very special, and FREE, day the NACCC is having. All the events the remaining part of the day in Plymouth are free of charge. Buses will return to our church right after the Worship or at the end of day for those staying. We need you to register for this Worship Service and bus, so please do so at the church or give a call if you need more details. Please mark you calendar and be part of a historic event.

By popular demand, we welcome the return of the Ham and Bean supper to our church. With the weather warmer and gas too expensive to go far, why not join your church family for an evening of fun, food, and Fellowship around the dining table. This will be a free-will offering evening and we are looking for folks to offer some of their favorite desserts to complete the evening. Sign up sheets are in the Fellowship Hall. Starts at 5:00pm. See you there!!

The Church Yard Sale planned for this Saturday has been canceled and replaced by the Ham and Bean Supper. We did not have enough interest to make this a viable event for now. We hope to revisit this idea in the future and will let everyone know when another is planned. Thank you.

Each year our church participates in the Hanson Memorial Day Parade and we invite any persons interested in walking with our float to join us that morning for all the fun. Kids are highly encouraged to join the parade and will need a signed Permission Slip available in the Church Office or on the day of the parade. The parade starts at 9:00 a.m. Immediately after the parade, please join us in our Sanctuary for a Worship Service in Memorial to those who went on ahead of us. This service gives us a prayerful time together to reflect on our loved ones who have passed. You will be able to offer up the names of those you want to remember during the service.
