Our church is in fellowship with the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches

April 30, 2016

Are you looking...
...for a place to belong?
...for a place to be loved?
...for God?

Our church has a welcoming atmosphere where you can feel at home for the first time or for a lifetime.

On Sunday mornings we offer two worship experiences:

  • A Traditional Service at 9:00 a.m. which features hymns, a Biblically based message and special music from our wonderful organist and Senior choir. This service celebrates the traditional pilgrim worship that brought us here. Nursery is available.
  • Our 11:00 a.m. Worship Service is for individuals and young families who desire a less formal atmosphere - It features a full band, lively worship, dramas and a Biblically based message which connects with our daily lives. During the school year, all Sunday School classes attend the first 15-20 minutes of this service for cool praise and worship songs and a brief message before heading off to class. Nursery is also available.
  • Following the 9:00 a.m. service, there will be a full hour of coffee and fellowship. All are encouraged to come early or stay later to cross paths with brothers and sisters in the church family. Coffee and fellowship will also follow the 11:00 a.m. service.

This Sunday, May 1, 2016, the scripture lesson is taken from Psalm 68:16-20, Acts 1:9-11. The message to be shared is entitled, "Ascension". Please join us at one of these wonderful worship services.

Following each worship service we offer a great time for making new friends in our Fellowship Hall.

Our children also have a chance to worship, make friends and learn about God: During the school year, we offer a comprehensive, developmental, Bible-based Sunday School program for children aged three through Grade 12. All classes meet at 11:00 AM. Nursery is available all morning.

What you experience on Sunday morning is only a small picture of what our church has to offer. We have activities Prayer Groups, mid-week Bible Studies, and Family nights. We encourage you to touch on some of the ministry links on this website to learn more about us.

Sunday School Starts Sept 13th; Teachers & Volunteers Needed
Posted by: bcraig on Aug 26, 2015 - 04:56 PM
Christian Life
With our schedule right around the corner, our Christian Ed dept is looking for teachers and volunteers to help with each of the upcoming sessions. They use an easy, spread out schedule that works in 5 week sessions, and each teachers only needs to participate in 2 of those sessions each time. This spreads out the duties and allows the teacher to concentrate on one topic that will be shared with each group of kids. The emphasis is on fun while learning of the life and blessings of our Lord. Further information can be acquired from our Church Office: 781-293-7997, or speak to Renee Hearn or Helen Mastico while at worship. Help our kids grow within Christ and chances are you'll learn something too!

Important Summer Bible Study starts Wednesday, 6/10
Posted by: bcraig on Jun 10, 2015 - 03:11 PM
Christian Life
A special summer Bible study starts this Wednesday @ 7pm in the Fellowship Hall to prepare the church for a planning retreat to beheld at the end of the summer.
The study will utilize Pastor Smith's book “Thriving Churches Then and Now.” There are 8 Characteristics which describe churches that are thriving and effective, found in the New Testament Church, and in every effective Christian movement in history. How do we utilize those characteristics that we are best at? How do we strengthen the areas in which we need to grow?
If you would like to help chart the course for the future of our church, or to learn more about what makes for a healthy church family – come to the study! There are 2 weeks off after the first session, to help everyone get “the reading” done! Books are available in the office for $9, or in Kindle format at Amazon for $4.99! email psmith@fcchanson.org for more information.
