IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO JOIN US FOR ALPHA ! Wednesdays 7-9 p.m.

“What is the meaning of life?”

If you are one of the many people who are asking this same question, First Congregational Church in Hanson invites you to attend the Alpha Course on Wednesday nights, at 7pm.

Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, friendly setting. People of different backgrounds, religions, and viewpoints come together to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions. Some people want to investigate if God exists or if there is any point to life, others may have attended church on and off their whole life but never understood the basics of the Christian faith. The objective is the same: Is Jesus Christ relevant for my life? Come explore. Everyone is welcome.

Thanksgiving Dinner Outreach

Thanksgiving is a time for family and friends to gather and to celebrate God's bountiful blessings with a home cooked meal with many favorite and traditional dishes. For some, this time is tougher than most for a variety of reasons.
As we did last year, we are inviting you here for Thanksgiving Dinner. We have the resources in place to provide dinner for many, including hands to cook and serve but we could use some help with transportation and, of course, desserts.
Watch this website for further information or call the church office.

Once a month, Bon Koo, 49, of Hanson loads up the back of his refrigerated truck with thousands of pounds of food to transport from the Greater Boston Food Bank in Dorchester to the Hanson Food Pantry for distribution to those struggling to make ends meet.

It can be backbreaking work for Koo, a deacon at First Congregational Church in Hanson who owns a sushi catering business in South Boston.

It is now showing on Comcast's Channel 9 which is the Local Access station. Times may vary so check the schedule for broadcasts. It should be played over the next 4 to 6 weeks intermittently.
Youth Worship Team

Because of the success of the Youth Sunday Worship Band, we are exploring the exciting possibility of forming a Youth Worship Team. This group would led some 11:00 services in the year, and could lead music in youth group or special events. We understand that most families are quite busy and have many obligations. However, to form a Youth Worship Team that is fully prepared to honor God through music, there must be commitment to this mission. If this ministry is something that you and your child agree that he or she would like to be part of, please contact Heather Jones at worshipteam@fcchanson.org.
